Headland picnic

Stunning views of Javea bay from the national park. Take the coast road south from Denia, turn left at the restaurant at the top of the hill.

Visit Denia Castle

Park on the sea front when you get to the painted fisherman houses.

Cycling

If your lucky watch the Tour of Valencia from a harbour bar in February and the Veltue (Tour of Spain) in the mountains behind Denia, September.

Nature Reserve

Walk north up the beach for about twenty minutes to a small nature reserve. Small waders and fish in the pools.

Flamingos

Drive south to Calphe or go by boat from Denia harbour to see the flamingos and if your lucky dolphins as well.

Visit Ibiza!?

Daily ferry from Denia harbour to Ibiza and Majorca.

Bat watch

Watch the bats from the apartment balcony at dusk :-). House martins during the day.

Markets

A very large Monday and a Friday flea market take place near the hospital. Their is an evening market by the harbour every night during the summer.

Fishing Boats

Watch the daily catch being landed, about 6:00pm

L'Oceanographic

Europes's largest marine park in Valencia. Entry to it and the spectacular nearby museums, €30 for a two day pass.

Parks

Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, both in Benidorm, 30 minutes by car.

Safari Park

Vergel Safari Park 10 minutes by car. Market on Saturday morning.
