Las Rotas
What is special about Las Rotas, the area surrounding Miramontgo?
Las Rotas Denia’s most exclusive residential area and “green lung”. The beach consists out of different areas, beginning with a sandy beach called Marineta Cassiana, near the port, followed by a string of rocky coves with very clear, blue water. This is also known as El Trampoli, Punta Negra, Arenetes and La Cala, which is a nudist beach.
The rocky coves after Marineta Cassiana are spectacular. The savage beauty of this landscape where blues and greens of the sea, crystal clear waters and bends along the coast show a relaxed inspiring beauty. From the beginning of the rocky coves we already are in the Cape of Sant Antoni Sea Reserve since it includes the coves and the cape right to its far eastern end. It is an environmentally protected natural park.
Snorkeling and scuba diving with plenty of plant and sealife can be seen at the beaches of Les Rotes. Also, at the two beaches closest to the port, Marineta Cassiana and El Trampoli, there are quite some beach bars and restaurants. Here you can enjoy a nice drink, or try the freshly caught fish and red prawns(Denia’s specialty!).
