restaurants to visit
A selection of restaurants for you
To make a selection of restaurants for you to visit during your stay, we filter this on 3 different locations. One is the area that surrounds the accomodation and are in or around Las Rotas (5 to 20 minutes by food), one is the area at the luxury harbor (20 to 40 minutes, depending on which side of the harbor you choose) and the last one are the restaurants in the City Center.
Nearby:
– Restaurante El Farallo (tapas/seafood)
One of the oldest, most authentic and best tapas and seafood restaurants of Denia, with a very extensive wine menu too.
– L’Erico Del Trampoli
For freshly caught fish(from Denia!), nice seafood and a lot of other options such as meats and seasonal vegetables, this is a great spot with a very nice location as well, located at the seaside. The wine menu is also very extensive, with very nice wines served per glass as well.
– El Pegoli
Amazing location looking over the sea and the ‘rotas’. Great kitchen with freshly caught fish and rice dishes(such as paella) as specialty. Only in the summer opened in the evening.
– Arena Bar & Bistro
International kitchen, a more simple and touristy restaurant that offers steaks, grilled fish etc.
At the harbor:
– Mr. Fisher (tapas)
Great price quality, good fresh food and beautiful views over the water and Denia.
– BBQ Fuego (Steakhouse)
Great meat for good prices and a cozy interior.
– Basta! (International)
Nice food and a very nice atmosphere, right at the port. It is also popular among both locals as expats for their live music each sunday afternoon.
At the city center:
– Ca Pepa Teresa (tapas)
Beautiful tapas all freshly made in their open kitchen, great wines and a cozy atmosphere. All for fairly good prices too. In our opinion one of the best tapas places in Denia. Try their ‘pulpo seco a la brasa’, a local specialty!
– Casa Federico (paella/tapas)
If you are looking to eat a real, authentic paella, this is the place to go.
Extra:
– Els Paeller’s
Els Paeller’s is a place located at the countryside of Denia. It is located in an old farm and run by a family. Here they make paella ‘a leña’, on firewood, outside. They have a very big garden where you can enjoy the nice weather and the family will (probably regularly) ask you to come over to see how your paella is made and to give you shots. Affordable and good atmosphere, if you like these type of places of course.
